At Mountain Works, we love nature – it’s our inspiration, our playground and our breathing space. But with that love comes great responsibility. We don’t just want to enjoy nature, we also want to protect and restore it, so that future generations can experience the same beautiful world that we do today.
From conservation to restoration
It is no longer enough to simply “do less harm.” We must strive to leave nature in a better state than we found it, and that requires both companies and individuals to take responsibility. Sustainability is about more than using the right materials – it is about a holistic view where we constantly evaluate how we can do better. And yes, we know it is a challenge, but we believe in continuous improvement.
Long-lasting garments – A key to sustainability
One of the most important things we can do is create clothes that last. By extending the lifespan of our garments, we reduce the need for new production and save on natural resources. We believe in repairing instead of throwing away. A garment that has followed you through adventures, worn and acquired its own patina, has a history and value that is irreplaceable. And when you are ready to move on, we hope that your favorite garment can find a new home with someone else – and continue to live on for new adventures.
Sustainability is a journey, not a destination
Our sustainability journey is full of small and big steps that bring us closer to our goal. From using recycled materials in our jackets, to reducing our material waste and developing new ways to repair and extend the life of our garments. We use certified traceable down, Oeko-Tex certified cotton and do everything we can to find smart, innovative solutions that both reduce our environmental impact and improve the quality of our products.

We are all part of the solution. It’s about making conscious choices in our daily lives, investing in products that last, and thinking about how we can reduce our impact.
