What is Mountain Works?

Mountain Works was founded in Sweden in 2002. When our Swedish founders set out on a mission; to bring the best innovations down from the highest mountains into the city.
Ever since then, we have been creating hyper-functional fashion that inspires an active lifestyle.

What can I expect when I receive my jacket?

The garment has been packed and compressed for a while and therefore needs a few hours to regain its volume and airiness.
You can speed up this process by shaking and puffing the jacket, helping the down to fill with air again.
The jacket may also have a special scent when you open the package, but it disappears after a while.

What type of down is used in the jackets?

In our garments we only use certified down made by Allied Feather, which is one of the leading producers of the highest quality down.
Collaborating with them makes our production reliable, responsible and sustainable.

Controlling our supply chain is important to us. All of our suppliers are RDS certified. This means that a third-party auditor from RDS checks our factories and confirms that we comply with the Responsible Down Standard.

How do you work with product sustainability?

At Mountain Works we always strive to make better choices. The high-quality fabrics are carefully selected with the goal of your garment lasting over time. We follow the development of materials and the advancement of manufacturing processes every season and thereby constantly increase our sustainability, as a brand, in our processes and in our products.

Can I buy extra flags for my jackets?

Unfortunately not yet.

How do I unsubscribe from your newsletters?

You can unsubscribe from receiving direct marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe function found at the bottom of each newsletter or by contacting us via info@mountainworks.se to discontinue marketing to you as a customer.

What size am I in the men's and women's models?

All jackets in men's and women's models are normal in size and you can choose your usual size, depending on how you want it to fit.
To read more about the fit of a particular style, we recommend that you look at the information on the product page for a specific product.

All product pages include measurements of the model and what size the models are wearing in the product images.

How do I know what size to buy in a unisex jacket?

The sizes are a little larger in our unisex models, but you can usually choose your usual size (unless you want a slightly tighter fit).

LAUNDRY LINE & INSTRUCTIONS

Tips and advice for washing?
  • Wash according to the washing instructions on the wash tag.
  • Do not mix clothes with different washing instructions and keep dark, colored and white garments separate when washing.
  • Wash at the temperature indicated on the care label or lower, as this is the maximum temperature allowed. If in doubt, always wash at a lower temperature.
  • Do not use too much detergent and do not use detergents that contain bleach.
  • Garments with zippers, metal buttons or details should not be left soaking wet.
  • Unless stated on the care label, do not tumble dry the garments.
How to wash your MOUNTAIN WORKS down garment

Proper care of your Mountain Works down garment will help it last longer. By following the correct steps below, you can ensure that your garment will continue to perform at its best, keeping you warm, comfortable and dry.

1. CLOSE ALL ZIPPERS BEFORE WASHING

2. DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENER
Fabric softeners contain chemicals that damage the waterproof membrane in the fabrics and drastically reduce the water resistance of the shell material.

3. WASH WITH DELICATE WASHING AT 40 DEGREES CELSIUS

4. TURN THE JACKET RIGHT SIDE OUT BEFORE DRYING
This is important to keep the down in the jacket completely dry. The shell material in the jacket is often waterproof or water-repellent, which prevents the down from drying out if the jacket is not turned inside out.

5. LOAD THE DRYER WITH 3–4 TENNIS BALLS
The tennis balls help the warm air to flow into the down and ensure that the down stays dry and fluffy.

6. DRY ON MEDIUM HEAT UNTIL THE CLOTHING IS COMPLETELY DRY

ORDERING

What payment options do I have?

We offer various payment options via Nets Easy Check Out, which may vary from country to country. You will see your payment options at checkout.

How do I know if my order is registered?

An email will be automatically sent to the email address you provided when placing your order. If there is a problem with your order, our customer service will contact you.

Can I cancel my order once it has been placed?

You can send an email to our customer service at info@mountainworks.se if you wish to cancel your order. If your order has been packed and shipped, we unfortunately cannot cancel the order. You can exercise your right of withdrawal when you receive the shipment. See the points below regarding returns and exchanges.

I have questions about my order in the webshop. Where can I get answers?

Please send us an email at info@mountainworks.se. You will receive a response within 24–48 hours on weekdays (Monday-Friday).

Do I have to pay customs duties for orders to Norway?

You do not have to pay customs fees when you order from Norway, either when ordering or returning.

SHIPPING AND TRACKING

Which countries do you ship to?

We ship to countries throughout Europe. If it is not possible for you to purchase, it may be because we do not ship to your country. Please contact customer service at info@mountainworks.se for more information.

Where can I see the shipping cost?

We charge a shipping fee for each order, which varies depending on where you order from. At checkout you can see all costs including the shipping fee.

How long are the delivery times?

Orders are processed Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CEST, excluding major holidays, and are usually shipped 1–2 business days from the time an order is placed. The package usually reaches you within 1–7 business days. The tracking number will be sent to you via email. If you have not received an email within 4 business days of placing your order, please contact info@mountainworks.se.

Can I choose home delivery in Norway?

All our orders to Norway are sent with Bring and in connection with Bring's notification you have the option to redirect your package and choose home delivery. When choosing home delivery, an additional cost will be added that must be paid directly to Bring. You as the customer are responsible for this cost and it is not refunded upon return.

The price for redirection is controlled when you as the recipient choose to redirect the package and the prices for home delivery redirection are:

57 NOK when ordering the redirection on the same day you receive the message.

89 NOK when ordering a redirection after this.

42 NOK for each additional package sent together from the same sender.

What happens if my shipment is damaged?

It shouldn't happen, but unfortunately sometimes packages get lost, stolen or damaged. We take responsibility for products that are damaged or lost during delivery to you.

Via Postnord: If you discover that the item you receive is damaged in transit, or if you discover that an item is missing due to damaged packaging in transit, you must make a complaint within 24 hours of receipt if it is a visible damage. It is therefore important that you check your shipment upon receipt to ensure that it is not damaged in transit. Please make a complaint no later than 24 hours after receiving the package directly via Postnord's website https://portal.postnord.com/claimspublic/. Then contact our customer service at info@mountainworks.se and provide us with your case number that you received via Postnord's website, and we will take it forward with Postnord. Keep the packaging and the product's packaging in the event of damage in transit.

Via Bring (Norway only): If you discover that the goods you receive are damaged during transport, you must make a complaint as soon as possible. It is important that you check your shipment upon receipt to detect any transport damage. Any transport damage should be reported directly to the delivery point or to the postal driver, so that they can register that the package has been damaged during transport. Then contact our customer service at info@mountainworks.se and tell us what has happened, which products are missing or damaged and take pictures and we will take it forward with Bring. Keep the packaging and the product packaging in case of transport damage.

How do I track my order?

Once we have shipped your order from the warehouse, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with the tracking number. To track your order, paste your tracking number here:

NORWAY: https://sporing.bring.no/sporing/. Please note that your tracking number will only be updated after the shipment has arrived at Bring's terminal in Oslo, Norway.

What happens if I don't pick up my package at the post office?

It is important that you collect your package on time. If you do not, the package will automatically be returned to us, and a fee of 200 SEK will be charged to you. This fee includes the shipping costs to and from you, along with handling and storage costs. The fee will be deducted from your refund.

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

The short version of our return policy:
You can return the product within 30 days of delivery.
To make a return, go to our returns and exchanges portal to set up a return.
If you would like to make a return from Norway, please contact us at info@mountainworks.se
The product must be in new condition with the tags attached.
Would you like to exchange for a different size? Go to our returns and exchanges portal and follow the exchange guide.
Did you receive the wrong item or is it damaged? Contact us and we will resolve it.

How much does it cost to make a return?

We charge a shipping fee for returns.
Within Sweden: 59 SEK
Within Europe: 6 EUR
From Norway: 79 NOK

How can I return a product?

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return the products within 30 days.

To register and make a return, go to our returns and exchanges portal and follow the step-by-step guide. Once you have registered your return, you will receive an email with your return label/QR code and then you can drop off your return at the nearest correct post office to return your order to us.
If you would like to make a return from Norway, please contact info@mountainworks.se for information.

Please use the same bag you received the products in, thereby minimizing environmental impact.

Returned items must be in new condition with original packaging and tags. Please avoid wearing perfume or deodorant as this may leave marks or scent on the product when trying it on. We will not be able to accept the return if these instructions have not been followed.

When will my return be refunded?

From the time we receive your return it may take up to 14 working days for a refund to be issued, but we do our best to process every return as soon as we can. You will receive an email confirming that your return has been processed.

The refund will be made to the same payment method you used for the original order. It generally takes between 2-5 business days for the money to be refunded. If you have chosen to pay by invoice via Klarna, we recommend that you pay the invoice or contact Klarna to extend the payment period, to avoid the risk of unnecessary reminder fees.

Sometimes a return can be registered in different batches and it can take up to 48 hours for your return to be fully completed. In this case, you may receive two or more return confirmations.

Would you like to change to a different size?

To exchange your ordered items for another item, go to our returns and exchanges portal and follow the instructions. It is free of charge to exchange for a different size of the same item. If you have purchased a discounted item and wish to exchange the size, please email us before placing your new order and we will assist you. We are unable to credit discounts retrospectively on existing orders.

What happens if I have received a wrong item?

If the product is faulty, please contact us via email at info@mountainworks.se and provide your order number, pictures and a short description explaining the fault and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We will send you a return label that you can use if your complaint is approved.
